RTI's Behavioral Health Economics Program is seeking an economist and/or health services researcher with demonstrated experience or interest in health economics and/or health care financing. The program conducts contract and grant funded work in behavioral health, including mental health issues and substance abuse. The job requires an understanding of principles of economic evaluation, research design and hypothesis testing, and advanced econometrics. This position can be located in Research Triangle Park,NC , Washongton DC, or Waltham MA.
Responsibilities:
* Lead ongoing and new projects
* Lead research staff on projects
* Contribute to grant and contract proposals to government agencies and other funding sources
Qualifications:
* PhD in Economics, Public Health or related field
* Requires an understanding of principles of economic evaluation, research design and hypothesis testing, and advanced econometrics
* Interest in developing a research agenda
* Interest in obtaining funding
* Interest in contributing to the profession through publications and presentations
* To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States
