Center for Food Safety & Applied Nutrition in FDA (CFSAN/FDA) anticipates openings for one to two economists GS-12 to GS-13 levels (salary range: $74,872 - $115,742). Positions are on the Economics Team; Office of Regulations, Policy and Social Sciences; CFSAN/FDA. Duties include conducting cost-benefit and other quantitative, statistical, and risk analyses; evaluating regulations, legislation, and agency policy. Successful candidates must be able to write and speak clearly to groups of different sizes and backgrounds, and work independently and on multi-disciplinary teams. We welcome all candidates with expertise in applied microeconomics (such as health, environmental, labor, international trade, and IO), or regulatory economics.
