StartSmart K-3 Plus seeks a Cost-Benefit Study Lead and Co-Investigator to join the StartSmart K-3 Plus leadership. Responsibilities: (1) study costs of K-3 program in project districts in New Mexico, (2) create funding formulas to support the program considering variables of interest, (3) execute a study of potential cost benefits of program, (4) disseminate results, (5) engage in high-level policy discussions, (6) function as co-investigator providing input for ongoing research and analysis.
Full time, 12-month position with supervision of staff. Requires refined skills, flexibility, high energy, commitment, stamina, honesty and integrity. Funded through extramural sources. Funded until October of 2015 secured with potential of additional funding into 2016. Position requires high level of management and communication skills. Operates with school districts statewide, several key partners in New Mexico (i.e., the Public Ed Department, Legislative work groups). The successful candidate will share results with policy makers (i.e., State and Federal legislative members, U.S. Department of Education staff) in person and in writing. Successful candidate will participate with other co-investigators to seek and maintain extramural funding for additional exploratory analysis of data already collected.
