The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, anticipates job openings for multiple economist positions. Overall duties will include conducting research and evaluation studies; developing policy analyses; reviewing regulations; estimating the cost and benefits of policy alternatives of the Department's science, health, human services and regulatory programs. Qualified applicants will have a strong background in applied microeconomics and possess strong analytical and empirical skills, as well as proficiency in oral and written communication.
