The Department of Economics at the University of Essex is seeking to make appointments at Lecturer level. Lecturer is equivalent to Assistant Professor in the US.

You are expected to engage in high quality research/scholarly activities, to be effective classroom teachers at graduate and undergraduate levels, and to contribute to the successful administration of the Department.

Successful candidates at the Lecturer level should have a doctoral degree or be near completion. You should be able to demonstrate potential in teaching at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level and have the ability to produce and publish high quality research at the highest level. A willingness to make an administrative contribution to the Department is also required.

Applications are invited from all fields. Appointments will be made on a full-time, permanent basis.

Salary: Up to £44,607 per annum
