The Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Basel, Switzerland, invites applications for an
Assistant Professorship
in Monetary Macroeconomics
(without tenure track)
to begin on August 1, 2014 or by appointment
The position is for a maximum of five years and not renewable. The successful candidate pursues research in the fields of monetary economics and macroeconomics (theory and policy). The professorship involves teaching degree courses at the Bachelor's and Master's level and contributing to the faculty's doctoral program. The teaching commitment amounts to 4 hours per week each semester. Participation in the Master of International and Monetary Economics program (MIME) is expected. Teaching duties may be carried out in English.
The successful applicant will find a productive research environment with research groups in the fields of macroeconomics, monetary theory, corporate finance, financial market theory, financial management, accounting, but also contract theory or quantitative methods. Furthermore, the Faculty has access to several research-relevant databases.
The faculty is committed to increasing the proportion of women holding professor.
