Apartmentlist.com will be adding a Chief Economist to bolster our position as subject matter experts to the wide community of renters, property management companies, and various media outlets.

* Develop and translate complex economic trends and insights into a digestible format for a diverse audience.
* Work on the frontier of economic thinking with regards to pricing, market design, and advertising within the rental market industry.
* Conduct original research and provide analysis on past and future trends.
* Act as the face of the company with key journalists for both print and tv interviews with leading publications. You'll be seen as an industry expert.
* Track critical macro and microeconomic data to help executives make critical decisions.
* Build economic models to help drive business policy.
* Work closely with our PR and Branding teams.
* Hold a PHD in Economics
* Outstanding communicator who enjoys the opportunity to debate, comment, and share a point of view
* Excellent stage presence
* 5+ years of experience in economics
- Deep background in econometrics, industrial organization, economic theory, and quantitative methods
