The ideal candidate applying at the FV-110-H Band should possess an advanced degree(M.A.or Ph.D)in economics,possess a strong economic and quantitative background, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to initiate and complete projects independently and as part of a team. The position will serve as a junior economic analyst on multi-disciplinary teams,studying and developing scenarios of major policy positions for FAA and the Department of Transportation.
The ideal candidate applying at the FV-110-I/J Band should have a Ph.D. in Economics with strong quantitative skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to initiate and complete research projects independently or as a member of a team. Experience with aviation or the airline industry is desirable. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate ability in applying econometric methodology and advance statistical methods to develop models used for forecasting aviation demand and activity for use in agency planning and investment.
