The Department of Agricultural Economics and Economics at Montana State University seeks an individual who works professionally and effectively with diverse individuals, possesses effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and the ability to contribute positively to the academic success of the students and the mission of Montana State University.

Required Qualifications–Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills:
-Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics or Economics prior to the starting date.
-Strong potential for effectiveness in teaching, scholarship, and outreach/service.
-Demonstrated interest in scholarship relevant to commercial agriculture, applicable to commercial agriculture in Montana, especially in the JEL Code Q research areas: production economics, farm/ranch management, agricultural marketing, food marketing, finance, international trade, agricultural policy, renewable and nonrenewable resource economics, and environmental economics.

Preferred Qualifications-Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills:
-Demonstrated success in scholarship and teaching.
-Scholarship and outreach interests that contribute to the MAES mission.
-Strength in economic theory and quantitative analysis.

The successful candidate:
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to successfully contribute to DAEE teaching, scholarship, and outreach.
