The Department of Economics at the Villanova School of Business, Villanova University, seeks to fill a tenure track position in Economics beginning Fall 2025 at the rank of Assistant Professor. Higher ranks will be considered for candidates with outstanding qualifications, publication record, and experience.

We are seeking to hire a colleague with research and teaching interests in Behavioral Economics, broadly defined. The Villanova School of Business houses a Laboratory for the Advancement of Interdisciplinary Research (LAIR) that can be used for experimental economic research. Being situated in the business school, the department is especially interested in individuals with strong applied research skills and an interest in business-related topics.

The Villanova School of Business is committed to both scholarly research and teaching excellence. In addition to maintaining an active research agenda leading to high quality publications, the appointment involves teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels with a teaching load of two courses per semester. The ideal candidate will be able to teach at least one course in behavioral economics, experimental economics, or a closely related topic as part of this teaching load.

Villanova University is a nationally-ranked university that values research highly and offers corresponding incentives and compensation. For example, a strong publication record leads to a lower teaching load of 3 courses a year, in addition to generous levels of summer support.
