Full Text of JOE Listing:

Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Bogotá, Colombia) invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions beginning July 2026 (subject to budget). Fields: (1) Finance; (2) Economics: International Trade, International Economics, or Industrial Organization. Responsibilities include developing a productive research agenda, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, advising students, and contributing to departmental service.

Minimum qualifications: Ph.D. in Finance, Economics, or a closely related field by July 2026 (or ABD close to completion); demonstrated research potential (e.g., job-market paper and pipeline); and evidence of effective teaching (TA or instructor). Strong English communication skills are required for research and collaboration. Proficiency in Spanish, or a clear plan to reach teaching proficiency in the short run, is required after appointment.
