SUNY Cortland is accepting applications for a tenure-track position in the Economics Department available Fall 2026.

The successful candidate will become a part of our dynamic and expanding Economics Department, comprised of over 600 undergraduate majors. Our diverse curriculum supports economics and business economics majors, as well as interdisciplinary programs in entrepreneurship and healthcare management.

Teaching responsibilities include principles of management and marketing, entrepreneurship, and upper-level electives that reflect the candidate’s research interests. Teaching load is 3 courses per semester. An active research agenda, student advisement, and service to the department and college are required.

Required Qualifications: Ph.D./DBA. If ABD, degree must be completed by time of initial review for reappointment. Evidence of expertise in the management field. Demonstrated potential for scholarly productivity.

Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in management courses in at least one of the following: Marketing, Operations Management, Entrepreneurship, Leadership/Ethics, Strategic Management. Preference will be given to candidates with college teaching experience, and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching students from diverse backgrounds. MBA is preferred.
