Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Reimagining the Economy Project is looking to hire postdoctoral fellows for a two-year fellowship. We are interested in candidates with an interest in industrial policies (in either developing or developed country contexts); place-based policies in the United States (including workforce development, technological development, the local labor market impacts of the energy transition, etc.); and productive development policies targeting specific sectors, job creation, small business supports, etc. We are also interested in the underlying institutional structures and state capacity to implement such policy for developing and developed countries.

The fellow will join a tight-knit research community at CID and the Malcolm Wiener Center, working with our two faculty directors Gordon Hanson and Dani Rodrik. During the fellowship period, fellows will be expected to spend 50% of their time on their own research projects and the other 50% on joint research work with the RtE team. Fellows will have the opportunity to attend community events, seminars, and meetings, exchange best practices and ideas, discuss research, and network with the broader CID, Malcolm Wiener Center, and HKS communities.

We’ll be accepting and reviewing applications on a rolling basis until February 13, 2026. Visit the job posting to see more information and apply.
