The VA Palo Alto Health Care System and Stanford University offer a 2-year postdoctoral scholarship in Health Policy & Data Science through the Big Data-Scientist Training Enhancement Program (BD-STEP). This fellowship provides a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of national healthcare policy, big data, and advanced quantitative methods.
Post-docs will evaluate the real-world impact of large-scale VA programs using rigorous causal inference methodologies. You will analyze one of the world’s most comprehensive health datasets, which includes rich clinical, administrative, and claims data from the nation’s largest integrated healthcare system. We are particularly interested in applied health economists facile with large datasets.
This position includes a federal appointment with full benefits and a joint academic appointment at Stanford University, providing access to world-class resources and mentorship.
