The Pittsburgh Experimental Economics Laboratory invites applications for a three-year postdoctoral position, beginning July 2026.
The postdoc will serve as manager of the Pittsburgh Experimental Economics Laboratory (PEEL) and must hold a Ph.D. in economics. The postdoc will be an integral member of the Department of Economics and of our large research team of behavioral and experimental economists, attending and presenting in seminars, and pushing forward their own research agenda. As the PEEL manager, they must, in collaboration with the PEEL Director and the PEEL research assistant, secure lab operations, lab training, and recruitment for and maintenance of the subject pool; they must oversee usage of the lab and help supervise our team of undergraduate research assistants. The postdoc must have the technical competence and programming skills needed to manage a modern experimental laboratory and have the skills needed to coordinate our research team. They must understand the rules on data compliance for sensitive information and help develop new procedures for conducting experiments as these change in the profession.
