Peking University and Princeton University invite applications for the Peking-Princeton Postdoctoral Program (PPPP), which supports two postdoctoral research associates in studies of contemporary China for academic years 2026–28. The program aims to train outstanding early-career scholars to become leaders in their fields.

Each fellowship spans two years: the first 12 months at Peking University, followed by 12 months at Princeton University, with a concurrent visiting appointment at Peking University. Preferred start date is September 1, 2026. Renewal after the first year is contingent on satisfactory performance and funding. Fellows must conduct research on contemporary China and secure endorsement from one faculty supervisor at each institution.

Eligibility: Applicants of all nationalities with no more than one year post-PhD by the start date. Tenured or tenure-track faculty are not eligible.

Selection is based on academic excellence, research quality, institutional synergy, and faculty commitment.

Required materials (in English): research proposal (max. 10 pages), CV (max. 4 pages), two confidential recommendations, two supervisor endorsements, and one writing sample.
