The Sam M. Walton College of Business invites applications for a non-tenure track Teaching Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics. This 9-month teaching professor position has a four-course teaching requirement each semester (12 credit hours per semester), with a potential mix of face-to-face and online courses, as needed. Teaching responsibilities for this position will involve a mix of Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Econometrics courses at the undergraduate level. The expected start date for the position is Fall 2026. Opportunity to teach courses during the summer for additional salary is possible. The appointment is renewable and the salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Regular on-campus availability, in-person teaching, and active contribution to the department is required.
Required Qualifications:
• Doctorate in Economics (not ABD)
• Experience in teaching Economics
• Demonstrated record of excellent and innovative teaching (candidate should furnish evidence about such activities in the form of a teaching statement or portfolio)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience and/or an interest in both face-to-face and online course delivery
• Currently, or able to qualify as, Practice Academics as defined by AACSB standards (PhD, committed to the teaching mission, some interest in research)
• Commitment to continued scholarly or professional engagement activity
