The Center for Economic Studies at El Colegio de México invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level starting in August 2027. We invite applications from candidates in all fields of economics. Duties will include teaching, research, and service, with an expected teaching load of two courses per year.

Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in both research and teaching, and be willing to teach and work in Spanish in the midterm. Applicants are expected to possess a doctoral degree in economics or be in the final process of completion.

Full applications must include:

1. Cover letter of at least two pages explaining why they are interested in living in Mexico City and working at El Colegio de México
2. Curriculum Vitae
3. Job market paper
4. Three recommendation letters

All materials, including the cover letter described above, are required to ensure full consideration. Applications received by December 6, 2026, will be considered for an initial review round. Applications will continue to be accepted and reviewed until January 1, 2027.
