MIT Blueprint Labs is recruiting a Postdoctoral Associate, AI in Education to lead research exploring the impacts of AI in US education systems. Blueprint uses data and economics to uncover the consequences of policy choices and improve society. Based in the Department of Economics at MIT, Blueprint consists of leading academics, full-time staff members, and graduate researchers.

The Postdoc will work with Blueprint Director Parag Pathak, and the Postdoc’s time will be spent conducting research with schools and other partners; there will be no opportunity for other strands of personal research. Candidates do not need prior expertise on AI in education, though interest in the topic is essential.

The Postdoc receives a full-time, one-year appointment that is renewable annually. An employment term of at least two years is strongly preferred. Employment contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background check.

The position offers the opportunity to join a research team with a strong publication track record and may lead to co-authored papers. The experience can help launch the candidate into an academic career. Previous Blueprint Postdocs have gone on to tenure-track positions in academia.
