Full Description

The Economics Department (Instituto de Economía) at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile invites applications for multiple full-time faculty positions at the levels of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The academic category of the selected candidates will be determined through the Faculty and central-level review processes established by the University. Candidates from all fields of economics are welcome. It serves around 2,000 students across undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs, including two M.Sc. degrees and a Ph.D. in Economics.

Teaching load: 3 courses per year. Teaching may be done in English or Spanish during the first two years; thereafter, proficiency in Spanish for teaching is expected.

Candidate Profile
Ph.D. in Economics (or equivalent, completed by the start date).
Strong potential for high-quality research and publication record (required for Associate/Full Professor applicants).
Commitment to excellence in teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including student supervision.
Capacity for collaboration and academic citizenship, contributing to departmental and university initiatives.
