The Roberta Buffett Institute for Global Affairs and the Lal Initiative in Global Entrepreneurship invite applications for a full-time, fixed-term Postdoctoral Fellow beginning September 1, 2027, renewable for one additional year subject to performance and funding.

The Fellow will join a new interdisciplinary initiative examining entrepreneurship in global, international, and cross-national contexts. Research may explore how entrepreneurship is shaped by governance, trade policy, geopolitical competition, technology and supply chains, migration, diaspora networks, and cross-border flows of capital, talent, and ideas.

Responsibilities will include approximately 50% research, 30% teaching, and 20% program building. The Fellow will pursue an independent or collaborative research agenda, publish scholarly or policy work, present at conferences, develop business case studies, teach 1–2 undergraduate courses annually, advise students, and help organize events, workshops, and international partnerships.

Applicants should be current Ph.D. candidates or recent graduates in a social science or business-related field, with the Ph.D. completed by June 2027. Candidates should have a research agenda focused on global entrepreneurship and evidence or strong potential for high-quality publication. Teaching experience, international research experience, and program-development interests are preferred.

Salary: $64,000 and benefits and potential research/travel funding
