The Southern Illinois University School of Business, Economics & Finance Department is seeking an Assistant Professor of Economics with an emphasis on Applied Microeconomics. This is a full-time, tenure track position. Responsibilities include teaching, research, and service activities as well as other duties associated with academic positions. Applicants must have a doctoral degree in Economics or related field (ABD's nearing completion will be considered). Preference will be given to candidates with a terminal degree from an AACSB-accredited institution. Candidates must have an active research agenda in any area of Applied Microeconomics as well as demonstrated teaching excellence. In addition to principles-, intermediate-, and graduate-level theory courses in Microeconomics, candidates are expected to teach Mathematical Methods and Statistics/Econometrics.
