Duties:
Teach courses in microeconomics and macroeconomics; participate in curriculum development, student learning outcomes assessment and analysis, academic and career advancement, staff development programs, and college, departmental, and faculty organization activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in economics OR bachelor's degree in economics AND master's degree in business, business administration, business management, business education, finance, or political science OR the equivalent* OR possession of an appropriate valid California Community College Credential authorizing service in the specified subject area(s).
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree or Ph.D. in Economics, and teaching experience in microeconomics and macroeconomics and academic preparation in another area of Economics; evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the issues surrounding globalization, environmental sustainability, the socio-economic, academic, cultural and ethnic diversity within the community college student population including students with physical and/or learning disabilities as these factors relate to differences in learning styles; familiarity with service learning and interdisciplinary studies.
