The School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) at Indiana University seeks applicants for a full-time tenure-track faculty position on the Bloomington campus in the area of social policy. The appointment is expected to be at the assistant professor level. Exceptionally qualified candidates at the associate or full professor rank will also be considered. Multiple hires are possible.
Candidates from different disciplinary backgrounds but who specialize in social policy are invited to apply. We are especially seeking candidates with research expertise in one or more of the following areas: poverty and inequality, employment, education, immigration, health, and urban policy. Candidates must present evidence of a high-quality and ambitious research program with a public sector orientation, an interest in professional service applications, and a strong commitment to high quality teaching. Scholars with demonstrated success at securing research funding and other forms of distinction are encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. in public policy, economics, statistics, sociology or other related field is required.
