The Department of Economics invites applicants for a tenure track position beginning August 2015. Preferred fields include Urban/Regional Economics and Environmental Economics/Management. Other fields will be considered. Candidates with heterodox perspectives, special interests in policy, and/or strong econometric skills are encouraged to apply. Candidates must possess or be near completion of a PhD.
Allegheny College is a highly selective private liberal arts college in NW Pennsylvania with a dedicated faculty of teacher-scholars. The teaching load is between 5.5 and 6 courses per year, depending on Senior Project advising. All faculty are expected to participate in delivering college-wide first-year/sophomore seminars. The successful candidate will provide evidence of excellence in teaching, ongoing scholarship, and professional development.
