The Department of Economics in the Albers School of Business and Economics at Seattle University seeks a health economist for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor beginning September 2015. In addition to health economics, the successful candidate will teach at least one of the following courses: principles of microeconomics, principles of macroeconomics, and/or statistics; establish and maintain a strong scholarly program; and provide departmental, school, and university service.
Requirements: Ph.D. in Economics by September 1, 2015.
The Department of Economics offers the BABA with a concentration in business economics, the BA with a concentration in economics, a minor and a specialization in international economic development, and a graduate quantitative economic analysis certificate. The department also supports the Professional MBA, the Bridge MBA, the Leadership Executive MBA, the Health Leadership Executive MBA, and the MS in Finance programs. In 2013, Bloomberg BusinessWeek ranked the Albers School of Business and Economics first in the nation in macroeconomics.
