The Finance Department at HEC Montréal invites applications for faculty positions at all levels for the academic year 2015-2016. Candidates are sought in the fields of Pensions and Retirement Finance, Financial Institutions, or Corporate Finance as well as exceptional candidates in other areas of Finance.
Candidates should hold a doctorate in Finance or in a related field, or be close to completion. Candidates for assistant professor should be promising scholars; candidates for more senior positions should have an established record of quality research. Successful candidates will be expected to publish research in leading journals and to teach high-quality graduate and undergraduate Finance courses.
The typical teaching load for new professors is 3 semester-courses (117 class hours total) per year. Research publication is financially rewarded based on journal ranking. French is the primary working environment and language of instruction at the school (although some English and Spanish classes are also offered) and candidates are expected to integrate themselves in such an environment.

Founded in 1907, HEC Montréal (www.hec.ca) is the 2nd oldest business school in North America. Accredited by AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS, HEC Montréal offers programs in finance from BBA to Ph.D., and boasts over 20 chairs, 13 research centers and a fully functional trading room.
