The Department of Economics and Finance in the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business and the Department of Environmental Studies in the Fulton School of Liberal Arts at Salisbury University are accepting applications for a joint position (tenured in the Department of Economics and Finance) in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics at the level of assistant professor, to begin in the fall of 2015.
Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities: Primary job duties include teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels for the Economics and Environmental Studies Departments, engaging in scholarship commensurate with the home school’s mission, service/outreach to the University, advising, and mentoring. Candidates must demonstrate an effective teaching style that supports a diverse student body.
Minimum Qualifications: PhD in Economics with a specialty in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics. ABDs near completion will be considered. If ABD; would be hired at the rank of Instructor, with the expectation that the candidate completes doctoral degree within one year of date of hire.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated interest in, or experience with, interdisciplinary analysis, collaboration, and/or teaching is highly desired. Preference will be given to candidates with documented excellence in both teaching and scholarship along with evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills.

Appointment will be contingent upon verification of eligibility to work in the U.S. and is expected to begin August 2015.
