The George L. Graziadio School of Business and Management of Pepperdine University seeks a tenure-track faculty member in Economics effective August 1, 2015, pending position approval. Degree programs are offered at Pepperdine University's main campus in Malibu and at four campuses in Southern California including Encino, Orange County, West Los Angeles and Westlake Village. The School offers several master's degree programs and one bachelor's degree program. As a professional school, our programs are customized and designed to meet the educational needs of students at every stage of professional development, from mid-career professionals to executives. Candidates will teach in more than one program and location, promoting interaction with students from diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. Candidates are expected to demonstrate competency in fulfilling their professorial responsibilities within a culturally diverse environment among faculty, staff, and students.
A successful candidate will have a terminal degree in the discipline, demonstrated scholarly capabilities in applied economics, strong teaching ability and significant business or managerial experience to enhance the practical application of microeconomics in a classroom setting. Candidates at the assistant and associate level will be considered; rank, salary and benefits are commensurate with experience. Pepperdine will have representatives at the 2015 AEA Annual Meeting.
