IHS is currently seeking a Director of US Macroeconomic Forecasting with a proven track record in macroeconomics, macroeconomic forecasting, large-scale macro modeling, and econometric time series analysis. In this role, you will coordinate and enhance the US Macroeconomic Service, provide guidance and analytical leadership, and work with other IHS business lines such as IHS Global Link Model, IHS EViews Econometric Software, IHS Energy, and IHS Automotive. The US Macro group’s forecasts serve as a foundation for the analysis of most other IHS groups and have won many awards for forecast accuracy. This position will be pivotal in maintaining and improving the group’s product quality, relevance, and visibility.
Successful candidates will possess:
• Ph.D. degree in Economics preferably with a focus on Macroeconomic Theory, Econometrics, International Trade, or Business Cycle theory.
• Over 10 years of post-PhD experience in macroeconomic forecasting and modeling, Federal Reserve policy, and government economic policy.
• A proven track record in macroeconomic modeling, econometrics, and forecasting. Familiarity with Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium Models, Computable General Equilibrium Models, and Input-Output economics is desirable.
This role will be based in Lexington, MA.
