Postdoctoral fellowships are available starting January or July, 2015 within University of Maryland's Pharmaceutical Health Services Research (PHSR) Department and in collaboration with the Health Division of IMPAQ International, a public policy research firm. Fellows engage in funded health economics and comparative effectiveness research projects. The fellowship provides tailored mentoring within a multidisciplinary environment that involves collaboration with health services researchers and clinicians. There is a targeted focus on developing skills in proposal development, scientific writing, and project management. The fellowship prepares fellows for positions in academia, consulting, government and the pharmaceutical or insurance industries. Fellows receive a competitive salary and benefits.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in economics or a related field; training in microecononmics, econometrics (applied statistics) and/or program evaluation; highly proficient with statistical software packages; strong written and verbal communication skills; experience with large database analysis.
