The Oberlin College Economics Department invites applications for a full-time tenure track faculty position in the College of Arts and Sciences. The initial appointment is for four years, beginning fall semester 2015. The rank may range from Assistant to Full Professor, depending on candidate qualifications and experience.
We welcome candidates with scholarly interests in financial economics, banking, or empirical finance. Candidates must demonstrate interest and potential excellence in undergraduate teaching. The incumbent should have earned the Ph.D. in Economics or finance and have professional experience in financial markets.
The incumbent will engage in a sustained program of scholarly research and will teach introductory and advanced courses in financial economics as well as courses to support the economics major. The teaching load alternates between 4 and 5 courses per year. The incumbent will also participate in the full range of faculty responsibilities. Salary will depend on qualifications and experience.
