The Department of Economics at Hunter College, City University of New York (http://econ.hunter.cuny.edu) is seeking to hire a tenure-track or tenured faculty member in Economics with research, teaching and service responsibilities. The new hire will conduct empirical research in the area of health, education, welfare, demographic economics or other domestic public policy areas of economics and support programs at the Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute (http://www.roosevelthouse.hunter.cuny.edu).

Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent is required. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution. For new PhDs, a well-developed research plan is preferred. For candidates beyond the PhD, a well-established publication record and a record of obtaining extramural funding are preferred.
