The University of Connecticut invites applications for a nine-month non-tenure track position in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the level of Lecturer. We seek well-qualified candidates whose areas of specialization include applied microeconomics, industrial organization, environmental and resource economics, food marketing and business management, quantitative methods, and development economics. Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics, or Economics or related field; excellent oral and written communication skills; commitment and desire to teach and mentor students. Preferred qualifications include college-level teaching experience; demonstrated ability to teach via teaching evaluations and letters of support; ability to teach a wide range of undergraduate courses within the Department. Duties include teaching up to seven course sections per year; advising undergraduate students and/or supervising internships; serving in teaching-related committees and assisting in recruiting students.
