Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Institute of State Economy at Nankai University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in Experimental/Behavioral Economics. The position will be at the rank of Assistant Professor with approximately 60% of time devoted to research and 40% of time devoted to teaching. The appointment will begin in July 2015.
The successful candidate is expected to have an active research program which uses experimental methods to address issues of relevance to China.Preference will be given to candidates with interest in applying experimental methods to macroeconomics, financial markets, environmental and energy issues.
The Institute of State Economy is committed to becoming a world-class think-tank. The research priorities are macroeconomic policy, industrial economic policy and, public policy.As part of this initiative, the Institute is developing a new area of expertise in experimental economics and opened the new Nankai Vernon L. Smith Experimental Economics Laboratory. This lab is a joint partnership with the Experimental Economics Program at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
Required degree: Ph.D. in economics, natural resource, environmental, or agricultural economics, or closely related fields. Successful candidates must have earned the doctorate by the start of the appointment.
