The School of International Liberal Studies is a leading department at Waseda University, where almost all the classes are conducted in English. Its unique international environment draws on a multicultural body of students and faculty members.
The school invites applications for a tenured or tenure-track appointment in Economics (Microeconomics or Macroeconomics) beginning September 1, 2015 or April 1, 2016. The successful candidate will teach courses in microeconomics, macroeconomics, game theory, and/or relevant subjects in areas of expertise.
Candidates should have completed a doctoral program or possess an equivalent qualification, have an outstanding scholarly record, and have an enthusiasm for cross-disciplinary research. Teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate school level and enthusiasm to teach in a multicultural environment are strongly preferred.
Preliminary screening will be based on application documents. Candidates who pass the first stage of the selection process will be notified in early November 2014. Interviews (including a mock teaching session) for candidates who advance to the second stage will be conducted on November 29 (Saturday), 2014, at Waseda University (Tokyo). Transportation costs for the interview will be borne by the applicant.
