NYU Shanghai is seeking to fill a tenured or tenure track position in the field of Experimental/Behavioral/ Neuro economics beginning in the Fall Semester of 2015. The ideal candidate would have thorough training in micro/behavioral economic theory, and/or experience in conducting and analyzing laboratory or field experiments. The facilities at NYU Shanghai include a working experimental economics laboratory, which will be available to scholars recruited to this position. More senior candidates should have a distinguished record of research in the area and an active research agenda. An interest in (or experience with) neuro-scientific tools in research is desirable (but not required) as NYU Shanghai is currently in the process of developing an active inter-disciplinary group working at the intersection of economics, psychology, and neuroscience. The terms of employment in NYU Shanghai are comparable to U.S. institutions in terms of research start-up funds and compensation, and include housing subsidies and educational subsidies for children. Faculty may also spend time at NYU New York and other sites of the NYU global network, engaging in both research and teaching.
