Cleveland State University invites applications for a one year, full-time visiting position at the instructor/assistant professor level in economics beginning August 17, 2015 which may be renewable for a second year. To be considered for the position at the Assistant Professor level, the candidate must complete the Ph.D. by August 1, 2015. The successful applicant must have a field of specialization in public economics, law and economics, economic history, or urban economics.

Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of quality or potential quality in teaching and research, strength of letters of recommendation, and the quality of the applicant’s background and graduate training in economics. Applicants invited for an on-campus interview will present current research in a faculty seminar and give a separate demonstration of teaching effectiveness.

Teaching responsibilities consist of M.A. level courses in microeconomic theory and mathematical methods in addition to undergraduate and M.A. level courses consistent with the applicant’s field(s) of specialization and training.
