The Department of Economics at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, N.B. invites applications and nominations for the Vaughan Chair in Regional Economics. Reporting directly to the Department Chair and working closely with other UNB faculty, governments, private and non-profits sectors, the Vaughan Chair provides leadership and vision in shaping the research directions and agenda in regional economic development of New Brunswick and the Atlantic region.

The incumbent would be appointed as a full-time faculty member in the Department of Economics at the University of New Brunswick, at the rank of either Associate or Full Professor.

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Economics, demonstrated excellence in teaching and supervisory experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and an exemplary research record on regional economic issues in general.

The employment start date will be July 1, 2015 although an alternate date may be arranged.
