Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Help lead formulation of team’s plans and activities in relevant policy area
• Write research and policy reports that directly contribute to the Institute’s understanding of an issue
• Represent Institute through public speaking engagements
• Publish research and opinion pieces
• Collaborate across Institute and Foundation to develop strategies which advance our goals
• Identify curriculum for educational programs and present lectures
• Review grant proposals and make recommendations to key decision makers

Qualifications and Requirements
• 10+ years of experience as a scholar with expertise and an established vita in the one of the following fields: Criminal Justice, Cronyism, Technology and Innovation, Toleration, or Foreign and Defense Policy
• Graduate level degree in economics, political science or related field, Ph.D. preferred
• Strong writing and analytical skills
• Strong oral communicator
• Strategic thinker who understands the key thinkers, leaders and organizations in field of expertise
• High level of initiative and ability to work independently and in team setting
• Solid understanding of and passion for individual liberty and classical liberal philosophy
• Entrepreneurial spirit and high sense of urgency
