The Carl H. Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati seeks an innovative and passionate leader to serve as Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs. The Associate Dean will work in collaboration with the Dean, fellow Associate Deans, and UG faculty, staff and student leadership to provide strategic oversight that promotes excellence in undergraduate business education. He/she will be responsible for undergraduate academic, admissions, curricular, and student-support initiatives. All Associate Deans in the College are appointed and serve at the will of the Dean.
Lindner undergraduate programs have tremendous momentum, breaking records for enrollment (quality and quantity), retention and placement repeatedly over the past five years. Lindner’s unique PACE framework guides student development along four dimensions: Professionalism, Academics, Character and Engagement. Currently, our undergraduate programs include over 3,000 students. Among the premier honors programs in the country, our business honors programs (Lindner Honors-PLUS, Kolodzik Business Scholars, and Circle of Excellence) exemplify PACE, attracting outstanding students who are placed at the ten Fortune 500 companies.
Lindner undergraduate efforts complement our nationally ranked graduate and online programs, and fuel our leadership within the university and business community. From co-op and internships to study abroad and service learning, our students thrive within and far beyond the classroom. The Associate Dean will join an outstanding executive team and will lead the undergraduate programs team of student and directors. The position is a full-time, twelve-month appointment, with a starting date of January 1, 2016 (negotiable).
Qualifications: Doctorate in related field and at least five (5) years of administrative experience preferred; involvement in campus-wide and/or college-wide initiatives; and excellent communication, analytical, interpersonal, leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse body of faculty, students, staff and university administration. A strong record in teaching, scholarship and service commensurate with appointment and tenure as Associate Professor or Professor in the college is required.

• Excellent leadership skills including strategic planning, personnel management and development, as well as innovation and project management;
• Strong communication and interpersonal capabilities to enable collaboration across campus, our community, and international networks;
• Expertise in supporting student learning, particularly through experiential learning, and in fostering diversity and inclusion; and
• Financial management skills to foster disciplined budgetary planning, scheduling and support efficiencies, and data-informed decision making, while ensuring student quality, retention, and assurance of learning.
