The Department of Economics at Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor level beginning in Fall 2016 (any field). Outstanding senior applicants will also be considered. Candidates must show promise of outstanding scholarly achievement and have earned a Ph.D. degree by the appointment start date or shortly thereafter.

All appointees are expected to engage in research and to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Proficiency in Spanish is preferred; otherwise, some basic knowledge and a commitment to learn the language are expected.

All applicants should submit a resume and at least one research paper, and should also arrange for submission of three letters of recommendation. We will begin reviewing applications on October 1st, 2015; the submission deadline is November 20. We will be interviewing candidates at the ASSA meetings in San Francisco.
