Victoria Business School, situated directly opposite the Parliament of New Zealand and in the business and finance centre of Wellington city, holds the ‘triple crown’ (AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA) of international accreditations, and is the leading Business School in New Zealand in terms research quality of staff. The Business School is seeking to appoint an outstanding candidate as either Professor or Associate Professor in Econometrics in the School of Economics and Finance.

The ideal candidate will hold an excellent record of scholarly achievement in econometrics, combined with evidence of an active research agenda, including the award of competitive research funding and publication in leading refereed international and national journals.

With a relevant PhD, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate academic leadership in the areas of applied econometrics, time-series econometrics or micro-econometrics. A successful track record of teaching and attracting postgraduate students will be essential for this role.
