The UMass Donahue Institute is seeking a director for our Economic and Public Policy Research group (EPPR) to lead an outstanding team of professional researchers. Key areas of relevant research and applied policy analysis experience include: economic impact analysis; economic development analysis and strategy; industry assessment studies; economic and demographic data research. The ideal candidate will be a proven business and program developer; experienced manager; outstanding communicator; trained researcher and knowledge leader; and demonstrated collaborator. Familiarity with relevant research areas and potential clients in Massachusetts, New England, and nationally, including industry, government and non-profit organizations, is preferred.
Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree (or higher) in economics, public policy, sociology, planning, or other related discipline; at least 10 years of experience in applied economic research; and demonstrated management experience. Travel is required, primarily within Massachusetts and New England. Salary is commensurate with experience.
