The Department of Economics invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in the fields of Macroeconomics and International Economics. The Department offers a Ph.D. degree, a professional Masters degree (MSPE), and an undergraduate degree (BA). For information about the Department, see http://www.economics.illinois.edu.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants must have a strong research record, or a promising research agenda, and the ability to contribute effectively to the instruction and supervision of students in these three programs. Successful candidates are expected to teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, establish and maintain an active and independent research program, and provide service to the department, the university and the profession. The salary will be commensurate with the research record and other accomplishments. The target starting date is August 16, 2016.
Applicants for Assistant Professor must submit a curriculum vita, one or more research papers, and the email addresses for three references. Applicants who have recently completed their Ph.D. since 2013, or who will complete their Ph.D. during 2016 will have their references contacted directly after submission of the application.
