The Research Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta anticipates hiring a Ph.D. research macroeconomist at the assistant level. Experienced candidates with an established research record are preferred, but we will consider new Ph.D.'s as well. The position's primary responsibilities are to conduct high-quality research for publication in leading academic journals, and contribute to the department's research and policy missions.

The Department maintains an excellent research environment, provides substantial research support, and houses several research centers including the Center for Quantitative Economic Research, the Center for Financial Innovation and Stability, and the Center for Human Capital Studies. The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is also the site of the Atlanta Research Data Center which provides restricted access to non-publicly available Census data. Salary and benefits are competitive.
