The Microeconomics Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago seeks an economist at any experience level to conduct empirical research on applied microeconomics issues such as labor markets, immigration, education, public finance, consumer finance, or industrial organization.
Economists are expected to conduct and publish self-directed policy-oriented research and will advise senior Bank management on issues within their fields of expertise. Requirements include a Ph.D. in economics and strong written and oral communication skills. Experienced candidates must have an established record of publishing in high quality economics journals. All economists, regardless of rank, are expected to publish in top academic journals. Salary and position are commensurate with background and experience.
