The Department of Economics at Beloit College invites applications for a full-time tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning fall semester 2016. Candidates must have completed or be close to completion of a Ph.D. in economics. A strong commitment to excellence in teaching is a must. Experience and interest in mentoring students from populations traditionally underserved in higher education is especially welcome. Teaching responsibilities may include courses in quantitative methods, economics of race, gender, and ethnicity, environmental economics, finance, health economics, and area studies such as Africa and Latin America. The successful candidate also will be expected to contribute to all-college programs, such as first- and second-year seminars, interdisciplinary studies, and/or international education.
