Arthur Kroeger College, of the Faculty of Public Affairs at Carleton University, invites applications from qualified candidates for a tenure-track position in global and international studies at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning July 1, 2016. Closing Date for Applications: November 2, 2015, or until position is filled

The successful candidate will be expected to research, teach and supervise students in the field of global and international studies, with a focus on international economics. Candidates will be expected to teach three of the nine core courses in the Bachelor of Global and International Studies (BGInS) degree. In particular, they will be expected to teach Global and International Studies (GINS) 2010, Globalization and International Economic Issues; GINS 4090, Honours Seminar in Global and International Studies; and one other core course appropriate to their disciplinary training. Candidates should submit applications electronically to Robyn Green (Robyn.Green@carleton.ca) in three PDF files including: 1) a cover letter with a curriculum vitae; 2) a statement of teaching interests, which includes a plan of how they would teach GINS 2010, identifies which topics the candidate could offer under GINS 4090 and what other BGInS core course the candidate is qualified to teach, and includes a teaching portfolio and any evaluations or other evidence of teaching performance as well as a statement regarding the approach to teaching; and 3) a plan for ongoing and future research, a short description of papers or monographs published or in progress, a summary of the doctoral thesis, and links to any publications or some sample publications.
