The Department of Economics seeks to fill one tenure track position at the rank of assistant professor. We seek an individual with research interests in macroeconomics and/or monetary economics. Expertise in financial economics or international economics is preferred, but not required. Applicants must have an established research agenda and should be committed to scholarly research and teaching of the highest quality. The candidate must also have demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU. Qualifications: Candidate must have an earned doctorate in Economics by August 2016, must be eligible for employment in the United States and indicate their citizenship or visa status.
Preferred qualifications: Good communication skills, a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and research, and a capacity to work collaboratively with colleagues are desired.
